The Foodprints and Foodsheds Project team met with local stakeholders in New York, Michigan, New Mexico and Mississippi to assess how the Foodprint and Foodshed Models could be used to meet food system goals in each state. These workshops were designed to determine the efficacy of leveraging these tools to assess dietary impacts on the food system, particularly around land requirements. Local stakeholders from each state provided critical feedback on the value of the models for food system planning. Their input has been used to refine and adapt the models to each state’s unique food system.
